DAY 1
Welcome To Beautiful Costa Rica!
Welcome to the land of Pura Vida (Pure Life). Meet and greet at San José International Airport and transfer to the landmark and sophisticated Grano de Oro Hotel (or similar).
DAY 2
A Full-Jungle Immersion
Drive through the mountains and lush rainforest of Braulio Carrillo National Park down to the Caribbean of Costa Rica. Enjoy scenic views before reaching La Pavona dock. Take the boat ride to Tortuguero, exploring its canals and vibrant village. Experience Afro-Caribbean culture with reggae tunes and local cuisine during an afternoon Tortuguero Village & Casa Cecropia tour. Overnight at the Tortuga Lodge & Gardens (Optional: direct domestic flight to Tortuguero available at extra cost).
DAY 3
Exploring The Tortuguero Canals
Enjoy a tropical breakfast before choosing a signature activity at the lodge, such as a Natural History Boat Tour through Tortuguero’s canals. Spot sloths, monkeys, and over 300 bird species. Explore additional tours like the Cerro Tortuguero or Twilight Tour. Overnight at Tortuga Lodge & Gardens.
DAY 4
Tortuguero To Pacuare Lodge
After breakfast, take a boat ride through the canals to the docks, then a 4WD SUV transfer to Pacuare Lodge. Enjoy the scenic drive through the Talamanca mountains and upon arrival, check the luxurious amenities at your suite. Explore the grounds or relax in the rainforest infinity pool overlooking the river and rainforest. End the day with a romantic candlelight dinner. Overnight at Pacuare Lodge.
DAY 5
Adventure In The Rainforest
After delectable breakfast with a Pacuare river view, choose from a collection of nine activities. Options include thrilling rock climbing, canopy zip lining, waterfall hikes, or visiting a Cabécar village. You can also explore organic gardens and visit a nearby local community. Complete your day with a rejuvenating spa treatment.
DAY 6
Rainforest Revelation And Rejuvenation
Awaken to nature’s sounds and enjoy your choice of experiences: Waterfall Hike, infinity pool swim, or a blissful massage at Jawa Juü Spa. Our spa’s expert therapists use the finest Costa Rica rainforest-sourced clays and infused oils inspired by the Cabécar’s healing arts. Savor meals made with local produce and craft beers, and enjoy an extensive selection of wines and tropical drinks.
DAY 7
A Whitewater Wonderland
After breakfast, embark on a 3.5-hour whitewater rafting adventure on the Class III-IV Pacuare River. Float through canyons and rainforest, with wildlife viewing and a deli-style lunch on the riverbank. At takeout, you can change into dry clothes for the scenic drive back to San José for an overnight stay at Grano de Oro Hotel.
DAY 8
Farewell To Cost Rica
Pick up and transfer to the Juan Santamaria International Airport with plenty of time for your check-in and departure.
