In Pacuare Lodge we want our guests to have a seamless experience, for this reason we have obtained the Safe Travel Accreditation provided by the Costa Rica Tourist Board. Safe Travel Accreditation assures Pacuare Lodge is in line with the protocols and guidelines recommended by the World Travel & Tourism Council.

During the online reservation process, you will not be charged a deposit, payment information is requested only as a guarantee. Payment is due in full prior to arrival according to Pacuare Lodges’ cancellation policies. A link for payment will be sent via email by our reservations department and it must be processed within 48 hours. If payment is not processed, your reservation will be cancelled automatically. Refunds will not be given after payment is received. All rescheduled or postponed reservations with travel dates before December 21st, 2021 will receive a credit in the amount of their payment, valid for use within 365 days of the originally scheduled dates of travel (blackout dates apply). Credit is non-transferable and cannot be broken down. Once applied, the credit note, cannot be changed/postponed/or refunded.

Cancellation Policy (Same fee applies to partial cancellation of bookings).
The following charges apply to FIT reservations (1 to 3 rooms).

Green Season 2021 (May 1- June 30 / August 16- December 21): Cancellations received 14 days or less prior to arrival during will receive a credit for the entire package rate, valid for use within 1 year. Blackout dates apply (Easter week, Thanksgiving week, Holiday Season).

High Season 2021 (July 1 – August 15): Cancellations received 20 days or less prior to arrival will receive a credit for the entire package rate, valid for use within 1 year. Blackout dates apply (Easter week, Thanksgiving week, Holiday Season).

Christmas Season 2021 (December 22, 2021 - January 05, 2022): A 20% non-refundable deposit is required to guarantee your reservation. Cancellations received 89 days or less prior to arrival will be fully penalized.

High Season 2022 (January 6 – April 30 / July 1 – August 15): Reservations received 29 days or less will be fully penalized.

Green Season 2022 (May 1- June 30 / August 16- December 21): Cancellations received 14 days or less prior to arrival will be fully penalized.

Christmas Season 2022 (December 22, 2022 - January 05, 2023): A 20% non-refundable deposit is required to guarantee your reservation. Cancellations received 119 days or less prior to arrival will be fully penalized.

This cancellation policy is subject to change. Please consult our policy for bookings of 4+ rooms.

Complementary upgrade when booking Pacuare Lodge: This promotion applies to new bookings travelling during May, June, September, October or November, 2021 (excluding Thanksgiving week). When confirming your reservation, Pacuare Lodge will provide a complementary upgrade to a higher room category. Please note this promotion is subject to availability. Garden View Suite will be upgraded to River View Suite. River View Suite will be upgraded to Linda Vista Villa. Linda Vista Villas will be upgraded to Canopy Suite or Jaguar Villa. No refund will be provided if the Lodge does not have availability in the next room category while confirming the reservation. This promotion is limited, subject to availability and cannot be combined with other promotions or discounted rates.

Travel insurance: Seasoned travelers take the precaution to always subscribe a comprehensive insurance policy during their trips abroad. We strongly recommend to all our patrons to follow this best-in-class travel practice. In the unlikely event of a cancellation of a booking, travel insurance should cover our cancellation terms. Pacuare Lodge is in no way responsible for any loss whatsoever. Please ensure adequate travel insurance is taken out to cover eventualities such as flight delays and cancellations. Insurance should cover participation in adventure activities, injury, property damage or loss.

What happens if the rafting access in or out to/ from the lodge is cancelled?
On occasions we are forced to cancel the arrival and/or departure by river rafting on our trips to Pacuare Lodge due to unsafe water level of the river. Under these conditions, clients will access or leave the lodge by ground transportation by 4x4 vehicle (approximately a 45-minute ride).

Activities at Pacuare Lodge: 8 unique experiences are included during your stay - Canopy Tour, Tropical Canyoning Tour, Bird-Watching, Cabecar Indigenous Hike, Rural Experience, The Loop, Sustainability Tour and Night Tour -. Given our remote location and dependence of external factors, all tours may not be available during your visit. No refund will be provided if a tour is under maintenance or cancelled because of weather conditions. No refund will apply if guest decides not to participate on the included experiences. If for safety reasons our guide determines that the guest is not physically or mentally fitted for any of the tours no refund will be provided.

Important Notice for Guests stowing luggage at our offices: Pacuare Lodge offers a complimentary luggage stowing service at our river take out warehouse located in Siquirres. Pacuare Lodge will not be held responsible for any lost or stolen objects. Therefore, we will require guests to securely padlock all luggage left at our facilities. It is also advisable for guests not to leave behind valuables or important documents such as passports and credit cards. The latter should be best taken to the Pacuare Lodge. Additionally, guests who leave luggage at our facilities will be asked to sign a form consenting to the above conditions.

In case you require leaving your car rental at our facilities in Siquirres while you participate in any of our trips, it is advisable for guests not to leave behind valuables or important documents inside the vehicle. For your information, Aventuras Naturales / Pacuare Lodge will not be held responsible in the event of any lost or stolen objects or any type of damage to your car.

Pricing: Our trips include all services as specified in the respective itinerary. The final itinerary and price that is accepted by the client shall be considered binding in its nature (by e-mail) and only those services mentioned will be included.

Liability Insurance: Aventuras Naturales is covered with an insurance policy issued by the National Insurance Institute of Costa Rica (Instituto Nacional de Seguros). Please ensure all party members arrange for a short-term traveler s insurance covering baggage, accident/life and trip cancellation. Please note that Costa Rica s insurance industry is state-owned, and the insurance that we are permitted to purchase for our trips is limited. If the rare occurrence of an accident should happen, the client will be responsible for paying for medical attention received at the time of service and will need to contact his/her insurance company directly for reimbursement upon return to their home country. Aventuras Naturales is not responsible for covering any medical costs not specified in our insurance policy, including transportation to/from medical services, translation or interpretation services or hospital deposits; nor are we liable for a client s inability to make the required payment.

Pick-ups & drop off: Hilton Garden Inn Sabana, Park Inn by Radisson San Jose and Grano de Oro. Your pick-up information needs to be provided to Pacuare Lodge at least 72 hours in advance. If you need to change you pick up last minute, please contact our emergency number +(506) 8824 4560. Otherwise, your absence at the confirmed location will be considered a No-show and will be fully penalized.

Child rate policy: The minimum age to participate in our rafting trip is 12. Due to the remoteness of Pacuare Lodge and access difficulties there is a minimum age required of 7.

Smoking: In accordance with Costa Rican Law, Pacuare Lodge is a SMOKE FREE establishment therefore smoking is not allowed in any of our facilities or grounds. The breach of this law will incur in a $500 fine.
